This role is remote, with one required visit to your designated home office per quarter.

What You Will Do:

• Be a leading Java engineer in terms of "hands on" contribution and a driving force in our US Casino platform for Caesars  
• Create and drive solutions through collaboration with the other engineers in the team to deliver market leading Casino products
• Strong interest in the functional programming paradigm and exploring the benefits with the engineering teams in new developments
• Lead key US Casino platform areas of architectural alignment including API standards, patterns and technology choices for Casino
• Work with internal development teams and 3rd party feed providers to create "close to realtime' sports betting solutions 
• Establish, maintain, document and communicate architectural vision for the US Casino platform
• Lead technology-led improvements and initiatives with the other members of the Casino engineering team 
• Design and document solutions 
• Be accountable for the Non-Functional Requirements of a solution from the definition, delivery and verification of these requirements with the team
• Contribute to and own the technology roadmap for the US Casino platform 
• Highlight existing US digital platform architecture tech debts and create plan to address potential failure points before they happen
• Work with the lead architect to ensure the "target state" and the "as-is architecture" is up to date for domain of Casino
• Interface with wider WH teams to effectively drive the solution including InfoSec, Infrastructure and Support
• Nurture best practices and guide teams through implementation difficulties
• Bring fresh ideas to the table and lead POC's
• Provide technical leadership and guidance, serve as a sounding board to engineers

 What You Will Need

• 4+ years’ experience successfully leading architecture for multiple agile software product deliveries
• 4+ years leading Java based platform architecture 
• Experience with OLTP systems is definitely an asset
• 5+ years’ experience in a senior or lead software development role
• Awareness of architecture methodologies and how to apply them including ToGAF, Zachman etc
