We’re looking to expand our growing team with a Professional Services Engineer, who will be responsible for navigating customers through the migration process for NS1’s Enterprise DDI solution. We are specifically searching for individuals with robust experience migrating customer data from one DDI provider to another. If you’re passionate about working with customers and getting deep into the inner-workings of their environments, then this is the role for you!

About us:

NS1 has transformed the way the internet works by automating the deployment and delivery of the world’s most trafficked internet and enterprise applications. Its application networking stack modernizes DNS, DHCP, and IPAM — the familiar and universal foundations of all network and internet services — to unlock unprecedented automation, visibility, and control. NS1 has more than 600 enterprise customers worldwide, including LinkedIn, Dropbox, and The Guardian, and is backed by investments from Energy Impact Partners, Dell Technologies Capital, Cisco Investments, and GGV Capital.

You will:

  • Deploy our Saas-based DDI solution (cmDDI) in both the cloud and at customer “edge” locations
  • Work directly with customers to troubleshoot and debug their configurations
  • Continually refine the implementation process and documenting learnings in the internal knowledge base
  • Serve as a consultative resource for customers as they integrate NS1’s software with their infrastructure
  • Leverage insights gathered from working with customers to provide feedback into the product development process
  • Partner with the Customer Success and Product teams to accelerate time to value for customers. This includes both the technical and project management elements of the onboarding process.
  • Due to COVID-19, all engagements are currently delivered remotely; when it is safe to do so, this role may require travel for on-site training and implementation

Ideally, you’ll bring:

  • Deep expertise in ETL (extract, transform, load) of data between platforms
  • Excellent Linux/Unix, network, and firewall knowledge
  • Programming skills and experience with shell scripting
  • Familiarity and high level of comfort with managing distributed systems
  • Prior exposure to containerized architecture and common virtualization platforms (eg. VMWare)
  • Experience with Docker administration and orchestration methodologies
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Extra kudos for familiarity with:
    • One or more commercial DDI solutions
    • RESTful APIs and JSON
    • Layer 4-7 load balancing
    • Ansible or other config management software
    • Tools in the modern DevOps toolkit
    • Cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Must have a valid U.S. work authorization to apply
