Who we are

Cityblock Health is a new type of healthcare company, operating out of Brooklyn and backed by Alphabet’s Sidewalk Labs, along with some of the top healthcare investors in the country.

Our mission is to radically improve the health of urban communities, one block at a time. Importantly, our solutions are designed specifically for Medicaid and lower-income Medicare beneficiaries, and we bring the capability to deliver care in the home and neighborhood with our field-based teams.

In close collaboration with community-based organizations and leading commercial partners, we are reorganizing the health system to focus on what matters to our members. We deliver personalized primary care, behavioral health, and social services through a network of neighborhood hubs with deep community-based partnerships and world-class technology.

Over the next year we’ll grow quickly, including entering new markets and dramatically expanding our software footprint. This role will be a key contributor to the success of all of our digital product experiences.

The role

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Analyst to own QA as part of our software development process, ensuring that we ship high quality, high reliability digital products as we continue to scale up and across new markets.

Cityblock’s product team is responsible for Commons, our digital care management platform. Commons enables our clinical teams to engage with patients, collect structured data about medical, behavioral and social needs, and develop personalized care plans that drive good health.

You will join as a key member of our product team which works closely with our design, product management, engineering, data science and clinical operations teams to create a digital product experience tailored to our exact needs. You will bring online the QA processes (and any necessary supporting tooling) to ensure that the software we ship meets a high quality bar, consistent with high degree of trust our care teams (and patients) put in our digital tooling. You will be a key participant in collecting ongoing feedback from our users and incorporating it into the product development process.

If you like the idea of helping build great software for people who need it most, are seeking out entrepreneurial opportunities, and are an amazing teammate, we want to hear from you!

You will:

  • Become an embedded and integral member of the team that develops and ships new product and features
  • Test new features thoroughly as part of development process—in particular ensuring readiness to ship
  • Facilitate the creation of detailed test plans that fully exercise complex features
  • Perform regular regression testing to ensure consistency in quality across complete product footprint
  • Monitor application performance and other quality metrics of interest
  • Own the creation and maintenance of knowledge base that documents complete product functionality
  • Liaise with product and clinical operations team to communicate new features to field-based care teams

You’d be a good fit if:

  • You are detail oriented and enjoy breaking things.
  • You have 5+ years experience in QA or product quality roles.
  • You have worked in fast-moving startup environments before.
  • You have a process-oriented mindset and ability to execute.
  • Are invigorated, rather than daunted, by the challenge of building great health tech.
  • You have a passion for doing mission-oriented work.

Nice to have:

  • Experience working in health technology
  • Experience with test automation tooling and infrastructure
  • Previous exposure to clinical operations or working with physicians & social workers

You should include these in your application:

  • A resume and/or LinkedIn profile.
  • A cover letter describing the work you are most proud of having contributed to.

Cityblock values diversity as a core tenet of the work we do and populations we serve. We are an equal opportunity employer, indiscriminate of race, religion, ethnicity, national origin, citizenship, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, veteran status, disability, genetic information, or any other protected characteristic.
