As part of the Spruce QA team, you will develop and maintain our automation frameworks. Our team mission is to assist our development teams and validate the functionality and quality of every software release.

What you'll do

  • You will design, develop and execute automation scripts using selenium WebDriver/WebdriverIO and other automation testing tools
  • Work with an external automation team to create and maintain testing framework(s) 
  • Successfully work with our development teams and be accountable for highly complex projects
  • Work closely with product management teams to understand requirements and technical specifications
  • Create tools to run automated tests at pre-set times automatically or at code mergeIdentify, record, document and track bugs using industry standard tools
  • Develop and maintain QA Automation guidelines and process documentation
  • Help to identify project risks and to recommend actions to minimize risk

Who you are

  • 3-5 years of hands on experience in automated testing and framework creation
  • Expert level knowledge of Selenium WebDriver/WebDriverIO (Javascript/Python)
  • Experienced with automating RESTful APIs (Postman and JSON)
  • Be familiar with CI/CD tools such as CircleCi/Jenkins
  • Demonstrable experience with quality assurance metrics and reporting
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative to solve complex engineering challenges
  • Strong Knowledge of Github and Git commands
  • Be able to clearly communicate automation test results to the team and help prioritize and resolve any issues
  • Strong bug isolation skills
  • Comfortable with agile development such as Scrum or Kanban
  • Be passionate about troubleshooting and learning new tools/technology
  • Possess the ability to write clear software documentation
  • Experience in testing financial services software/wealth management software is a big plus
