QA Engineer - Trello

As a Quality Assurance Engineer working with the Trello Mobile team, you will partner with other QA Engineers to test our iOS and Android applications. You should have a solid foundation in mobile application testing as well as in-depth knowledge of quality assurance. A strong candidate is an expert communicator, advocate for the end-user, and has experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
Trello is a web-based, Kanban-style, list-making application. Users can create their task boards with different columns and move the tasks between them. The tool can be used for personal and business purposes including real estate management, software project management, school bulletin boards, lesson planning, accounting, web design, gaming, and law office case management. Over the years Trello has grown to over 50 million users!
Responsibilities:
- Be the Quality Advocate on a cross functional project team. This includes attending team meetings, advising quality processes, leading team quality activities
- Estimate, prioritize and plan testing activities
- Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
- Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans, test strategies and test cases
- Execute functional and non-functional tests
- Identify risks and escalate quality concerns and escalate quality concerns to the team.
- Identify solutions to nonstandard requests and problems
- Actively participate in requirements reviews, gain an understanding of functional specifications and provide feedback on documentation
- Collaborate on learnings and best practices with test team members
Requirements:
- Be responsible for your work and product quality
- Ability to prioritize and communicate tradeoffs
- Have a deep understanding and empathy for the end-users
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
- Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
- Strong analytical skills and logical skills
- Previous experience writing Acceptance Criteria
- Mobile Application testing experience (iOS and Android.)
- Experience managing/updating mobile devices (you'll probably have 10+ on your desk)
- Experience with terminal and git
Compensation
At Atlassian, we tie our base pay ranges to role and level. In the United States, that means your base pay ranges will fall into one of three geographic pay zones depending on your location. Our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:
Zone A: $116,900 - $179,400
Zone B: $105,200 - $161,500
Zone C: $97,000 - $148,900
Within each range, base pay is ultimately determined based on your skills, expertise, and experience. This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and/or equity.
