About the Role
Product Team is seeking a smart and resourceful Quality Assurance Engineer to support our rapid growth. You will partner closely with stakeholders across the product function; learn about our technology stack and agile software development process; and test real features that ship directly to our customers. We are a pragmatic team with a culture of creating high-quality products that deliver value to our customers. We believe in using the right tools for the job and maintaining simplicity in our design. What You'll Do
- Perform manual testing of both web and mobile products
- Contribute to a growing suite of automated regression tests
- Become a product expert on the SevenRooms platform
- Establish a culture of QA in every part of the product development process
- Work with engineers to identify and resolve bugs
- Attend and participate in daily dev/product standups
- Leverage your testing knowledge from previous experiences
Who You Are
- 4+ years of relevant work experience (product, engineering, QA, test automation, etc.)
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Autonomous in your work and also a collaborative teammate
- Comfortable with switching context/focus depending on business needs
- Very detail-oriented
- Strong communication skills in verbal and written English
- Experience with:
- Agile / scrum development methodology
- One or more general purpose programming/scripting languages including (but not limited to): Python, Ruby, JavaScrip
- API testing for web and mobile applications
- Selenium, Cypress, or similar automation frameworks
- GitHub, BitBucket or a similar version control system
- Prior hospitality experience (e.g. working in restaurants, nightlife and/or hotels) a huge bonus
