The QA Engineer at Zeel will be a key member of several agile teams and oversee all testing activities related to the release of new features. The candidate will work closely with the Technology and Product teams to execute manual and automated tests and ensure that we deliver stable and production-ready software. The candidate will be responsible for establishing best practices and performing all QA-related functions. This position reports to the VP of Technology and is based in NYC.
Responsibilities
Identify, validate and thoroughly document defects
Analyze requirements, create test plans and test cases
Work on several concurrent agile projects
Develop automation test suites using automated testing tools
Lead automation strategy, planning, design and execution
Execute test plans
Perform cross-device testing
Perform non-UI API endpoint testing
Ensure user stories are testable
Own the QA process and its continuous improvement
Support user acceptance testing
Assist with internal communication and improving transparency
Required Skills
Bachelor's degree, preferably in an IT-related field
At least 2 years QA and testing work experience
Understanding of QA test methodologies and processes
Understanding of automated testing strategies and tools
Preferred Skills
Experience in Agile/Scrum practices
