Our mission is to serve cancer patients and our customers by dramatically improving treatment and accelerating research. Today, the Flatiron Health OncologyCloud™ platform includes the industry-leading electronic medical record for oncology (OncoEMR), a first-of-its-kind analytics tool, patient portal, and integrated billing management. Our goal is to help cancer centers and life science companies leverage real-world oncology data at a scale and clinical depth never before seen, to advance cancer care and accelerate research.

We are looking for a QA Manager/Director to lead the teams and technology that all of our product engineers use to build great experiences for patients and doctors. As the Head of QA engineering at Flatiron, you will be essential to the success of our flagship provider product, OncoEMR, which is in turn the cornerstone of the company. We need a QA leader to keep our quality processes at the high bar our clients and patients demand and expect.

We are looking for an exceptional and experienced people manager, QA engineer, and leader with vision. Help us fight cancer!

What you'll do: 

  • Directly manage a large team (10+) of functional and automated QA engineers.
  • Define what it means to have a long and successful career as a QA engineer at Flatiron and upgrade our career ladder accordingly.
  • Mentor and coach the team towards their career goals.
  • Effectively partner with Product and Engineering leaders in the provider org, as well as recruiting to grow the team.
  • Coordinate team resourcing such that we balance risk, distribution of domain knowledge, and reports’ career growth.
  • Spearhead SDLC process improvements to ensure the organization can move as quickly as possible while maintaining the highest quality standards.
  • Be a thought leader on Quality
  • Owns and drives a proactive strategy for high quality product development in an agile setting.
  • Contribute to cross-organizational quality initiatives (patient safety, security, regulatory compliance, etc.)

About you:

  • You have 5+ years management experience managing both manual and automated QA engineers and have a track record of building and retaining a world class team.
  • You have helped deliver software in fast-paced agile environments.
  • You have tremendous end-user empathy.
  • You’ve been hands-on with end-to-end test automation at some point in your career, ideally using Selenium.
  • You share our belief that automated and manual QA play important roles and are both part of a well-balanced breakfast.
