EquiLend is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to work with members of the Product Strategy, Application Development, Market Data and QA teams in order to plan and execute the different test phases related to projects that build upon the company's global platform (i.e., functional, integration, performance, infrastructure and regression). They will be hands-on in all testing activities related to a project, from requirements documentation review to test preparation and test execution in multiple environments.

Quality Assurance Engineer Responsibilities
Manage all testing tasks throughout the life-cycle of multiple concurrent projects, including the following:

  • Design and construct test cases to run in an automated fashion against our applications
  • Execute manual test cases and report defects
  • Proactively solve problems and suggest process improvements
  • Understand and adhere to our existing automation framework and suggest improvements
  • Create new tools and new frameworks to support test automation
  • Work with development and test engineers to identify and automate test cases
  • Recommend innovative ideas to automate to reduce the manual effort and increase the code coverage
  • Execute automated test scripts and manual testing as needed
  • Debug and fix existing failed automated test cases
  • Maintain and write new automated test scripts using Java, Java Script or Shell scripts


Quality Assurance Engineer Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 3 to 5 years of related experience in test automation
  • Strong development skills with Java , Unix Shell scripting, Java Script
  • Experience with automated testing using Selenium, JMeter
  • Excellent understanding of Object Oriented design and methodologies
  • Familiarity with XML data structure and web service testing tools
  • Knowledge of SQL
  • Knowledge of Agile framework is a plus
  • Ability to build rapport and interact effectively with all levels and areas of an organization
  • Knowledge of the capital markets is a plus
  • Strong willingness to learn the underlying business
  • Financial services experience is helpful, but not required
  • Willing to work in a small company - big client setting
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, good judgment, high ethical standards, and a strong work ethic are a must
