Artivest is seeking a Quality Engineer to help maintain the high quality of its industry-changing platform. Our technology stack: front-end — AngularJS moving to ReactJS; back-end — Python and Django. You will work on a product that empowers investors and advisors to evaluate alternative investment opportunities, seamlessly subscribe to new investments, and monitor performance through a simple, intuitive interface. Our team is delivering solutions that introduce efficiency and transparency to an operationally-intensive industry. You will be exposed to a wide array of the technologies used in a data-driven, fast-growing company along with the latest financial technologies that power the world’s largest financial institutions. We develop code in a fast-paced and iterative environment, using agile to quickly pivot to the needs of our clients.

Responsibilities

• Build unit, integration, and regression tests using appropriate frameworks for the language stack
• Work to prevent software bugs before they happen with proactive and high-quality engineering
• Design effective and understandable quality assurance test plans for all product functionality
• Maintain the ability to introduce rapid code changes to existing product functionality with low risk
• Stay on top of emerging testing technologies to inform best practices and guidelines
• Research and propose new technologies and methodologies

• Able to make technical decisions and to accurately identify, gauge, and communicate any trade-offs

• Preferred language knowledge

Experience

• 3+ years experience in a QA engineering and testing role
• Familiar with software engineering skills and practices
• Worked with Agile requirements and authored test cards
• Experience working with engineers and thorough understanding of the software development life cycle
• Experience gaining deep product knowledge quickly and the ability to teach others though effective means
• Experience with Jira for project management a plus
