Scala Developer

The Team:
The Core Foundations team builds systems that handle 500 mm+ requests per day. As software developers we have to keep innovating; learning and innovation is part of our work. We work on bi-weekly sprints and we are looking for a highly motivated and team oriented developer to join us and build highly scalable and fault-tolerant systems.
The Role:
As a Scala developer you will build well documented, user friendly, secure, highly performant and highly scalable applications in Scala, Play framework, AKKA and related technologies. You will take part in design and architectural decisions, write testable code, perform code reviews with an attention to detail, mentor fellow developers and provide production support. This team highly values continuous learning and innovation.
Skills:
- Experience of building Scala, Java or Kotlin applications at a professional level and a willingness to work in Scala.
- Production experience with relational and non-relational databases. We believe in choosing the right tool for the job, currently we are using Cassandra, MongoDB and PostgresQL.
- Quick learner, and deeply curious about new technologies.
- Proficient understanding of code version tools such as Git and Github.

Base Salary
$110,000/yr to $140,000/yr
