Reporting to the Director of Information Security, the Security Engineer will be responsible for security related initiatives pertaining to cloud and appsec.
What You’ll Be Doing: Embedding security into the fabric of development and operations
- Working with engineers to secure and harden containerized images, virtual machines, and infrastructure
- Leading the implementation of DAST and SAST code security solutions
- Performing application / OWASP assessments + fixing vulnerabilities identified with the help of engineering
General Responsibilities:
- Discover, triage, and remediate vulnerabilities in cloud configurations
- Discover, triage, and remediate vulnerabilities in infrastructure and code
- Assist with deployment of security technologies such as web proxy, DLP, SDLC, and centralized logging
What we expect from you:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
- 3-5 years of experience in an appsec or security engineer focused role
- Proficient in python or go programming languages
- Flexibility to learn other programming languages as needed
- Experience with AWS technologies, APIs, and core concepts
- Experience with common RestFul API programming techniques
- Experience with CI/CD and agile development techniques
- Experience with Burpsuite, Detectify, and other appsec tools
- Self-starter, organized, efficient, and proactive
- Great communication skills
