About Eden Health

Eden Health provides simple, tech-enabled primary care sold directly to employers. Our users enjoy immediate access to care over the Eden Health app, in our private clinics, and directly in their offices. We have transformed healthcare from an unpleasant necessity to a delightful experience focused on improving the lives of patients. The proof is in the outcomes; when companies work with us they have healthier workforces, increased productivity, and reduced healthcare costs.

What you will be doing

We are looking for curious, pragmatic and capable reliability (aka DevSecOps) engineers who want to see the outcome of their work create safer and more reliable systems for our Care Team, and our Patients. You will join a small team of specialized reliability engineers that is laying the foundation of Eden Health’s future. Our reliability engineers work closely with other engineering teams, product management, technical operations, and clinical teams to define problems and build effective solutions.

You will join in on ownership of the engineering discipline: working to build not only our products, but our culture and processes. You will level up our security posture, and ensure every project we do is characterized by safety and resilience. You will not be hesitant to jump in and fix things because you take responsibility for sustainable engineering. Technical problem solving appeals to you, but you will also create space for your colleagues to demonstrate the same. We all learn and grow to achieve goals that can never fit in a job description.

What success looks like

  • Join the Reliability Engineering team as a seasoned engineer to build and improve our infrastructure automation across the entire stack.
  • Design infrastructure and drive its implementation and automation to protect Eden Health’s systems
  • Provide guidance, mentorship and advocacy for security principals to a diverse set of Eden Health engineering and business teams
  • Conduct security reviews of core infrastructure, and work with the Reliability Engineering team to scope projects to improve it
  • Build tools and design processes for systems protection, monitoring, and remediation.
  • Build an understanding of our business and our unique approach to healthcare so that your technical decisions impact the course of the company

What you will bring

  • 4 or more years of hands on industry experience in Reliability or Infrastructure Engineering
  • Development experience in agile software development, using any number of general purpose programming languages
  • You have experience with attack vectors, mitigation methods, and risk analysis on: Networked Systems, Web Application and Browser Security, Security assessments and Penetration Testing, Authentication and Authorization, System Monitoring and Intrusion Detection
  • You have a strong opinion on the role of Negative Engineering and Application Resilience and how these fit in a successful product engineering team.
  • You take pride in secure and resilient systems that build and maintain trust with our customers and care team.

An Insider's view of Eden Health

How would you describe the company’s work-life balance?

Eden Health allows me to work as much as I want while I take care of the many aspects of my personal life, which includes my health, family, and leisure. The providers work different types of shifts, which enables me to take care of my children before or after work. I can be a provider and a mom at the same time, which is awesome!

How do you collaborate with other teams in the company?

As a healthcare provider, the opportunity to collaborate with team members across diverse roles and backgrounds has been crucial to delivering high quality care. To improve patient engagement, we work with the Marketing and Customer Success teams to find innovative ways to reach our patients and empower them to take control over their health.

How has your career grown since starting at the company?

I started at Eden Health as an Administrative Assistant. I started spending more time in our clinics and found a passion for working directly with our patients and supporting our providers, which led to my next role as a Clinical Associate. From there, I became a manager of our Navigation team and am now a Service and Quality Operations Manager.
