Senior Backend Software Engineer, Authentication at Peloton
*Remote Eligible Position*
The User Platform (UP) team is responsible for the systems of authentication, authorization, user account data, and user profile security at Peloton. The team’s vision is to provide One-Click secure access to all applications. We seek to expand our IAM feature set to serve a wider set of customers and acquisitions.
We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer in the authentication domain. To be successful you will need a combination of problem-solving, technical, and communication skills, as well as the ability to handle a mix of disparate tasks which will include project and software development work. As a Senior Backend Engineer in our squad, you will foster constructive dialogue and seek resolution when confronted in technical discussions and solution designs.
You will have the opportunity to learn from and be mentored by, those who are building authentication at Peloton, grow, and influence authentication principles of our product. - Architect, design, develop, deploy, and operate services that serve millions of users in a DevOps manner
- Be a technical leader within the team you work with and within Peloton in general
- Coordinate technical projects across teams within Peloton
- Be a valued member of an autonomous, multi-functional agile team
- Hack on what you want during regular hack days and bi-annual hack weeks
- You are an experienced technical leader (4+ years of related professional experience)
- You know how to write distributed, high-volume services
- You are experienced with authentication standards and security domains, and have worked with tools such as OAuth
- You have a deep understanding of system design, data structures, and algorithms
- You care about quality and you know what it means to ship high-quality code
