What we’re looking for in this role:

• Experience in working with data at scale (e.g., EMR, Hadoop, Spark, HBase, Presto, pushed the limits of Postgres) and in designing, building, and managing scalable systems in the cloud (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)
• Proven track record of developing full applications start-to-finish at varying levels of complexity and in collaborating alongside other teams (e.g., data science, sales) in solving open-ended problems
• Excitement for collaborating with and mentoring others in across go-to-market, product, and technical teams

Your day-to-day:

• Leading our efforts in developing infrastructure to scale data collection, normalization, and modeling efforts to drive a scalable and performant data platform (e.g., build system to quickly deploy new data science models across millions of rows)
• Ensuring Ribbon API is enterprise-grade across end-user functionality, security, and scalability (e.g., design new endpoints & functionality based on customer requests that preserve backwards compatibility)
• Design new sync logic across multiple decentralized data indices to improve customer ability to edit and add new data (e.g., ensure updates from indices flow to core database and properly push relevant data in real-time)
• Run critical independent software engineering projects while also working closely with the engineering, data science, and business teams (e.g., interfacing with our customers’ engineering teams in parallel with our product team)
