Senior Devops Engineer
Blink Health is fixing how broken, opaque, and unfair healthcare is. We're a well-funded healthcare technology company on a mission. We’re changing healthcare through technology and transparency. With our proprietary technology, everyone now has access to the lowest prices on over 15,000 medications. But there is more work to do.
We are a continuously learning, curious, collaborative team dedicated to inventing new ways of working in an industry that historically has resisted innovation. We're assembling the experienced and talented team to get this done.
About the role:
We’re looking for someone to help us build and improve the infrastructure that runs our applications. Our stuff is mostly on Ubuntu in AWS, so we approach infrastructure as code. The current (4 person) team values learning, enjoys their autonomy, and feels good about working for a company that is literally saving lives by making prescription drugs affordable for everyone.
You will be mostly working on the tooling that controls our technical infrastructure. You’ll also be fixing performance issues, and working with other developers to enhance operations. Our infrastructure team is very collaborative. We do code reviews on all of our team PRs, and we work together to architect, develop, and document new systems and tooling. There is, of course, an on-call rotation, but you can expect around 5 off-hours pages a year.
We’re happy to hire folks with non-traditional backgrounds. Fundamentally, we need people who want to build tools and have familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc). If you believe in and encourage the goodness in others, we need you.
- Knowledge of networking, server configuration management, and developing code (we use Python, bash, JS and Go) to manage those networks and servers.
- Experience evaluating off-the-shelf solutions, and willingness to make the build or buy trade-off.
- Experience with some of our tech stack: Python, AWS, MySQL, Redshift, Aurora, Linux, Docker, Ansible, and/or nginx. Craft tools to help other teams achieve their goals and improve performance.
- A desire to help create something that improves people’s live
