- Collaborating to build intuitive, delightful experiences for developers as they engage with DigitalOcean and partner products and services.
- Implementing a platform on which partners can offer infrastructure solutions and developers can find them.
- Writing in languages such as Go, Rails, NodeJS, and Ember JS and taking into account testing, CI/CD, monitoring, alerting, and deployment needs.
- Technical evaluation and integration with third party service providers.
- Running experiments to optimize user experience and increase adoption of marketplace products
- Collaborating with team leads across DigitalOcean engineering to find improvements to our internal systems and clarify dependencies.
- Finding emerging tools, trends and methodologies and showing your team how to integrate them against existing systems and processes.
What We’ll Expect From You:
- A high level understanding in at least one of the following languages: Go, Rails, Javascript, or NodeJS.
- Enjoy working with both front-end and back-end technologies.
- The ability to make complex technical decisions that not only affect your team, but your department or DigitalOcean engineering as a whole.
- Experience with configuring Docker and/or Kubernetes, and data stores such as MySQL, PostgresSql, MongoDB, or Redis.
- Ability to author designs and specifications requiring changes across the organization.
- Proven collaboration with Product Managers and User Experience professionals to implement an idea while iteratively getting feedback from users.
- Passion and experience shipping well-engineered and tested code.
- Direct experience building scalable infrastructure software and/or distributed systems.
- Customer focused understanding of the challenges that face developers when selecting and using an infrastructure platform, and a vision for how excellent products can help.
