We're hiring a Senior Engineering Manager for the QA Team.

We're looking for a seasoned Sr. Manager, QA with a passion for team leadership and deep experience in test driven development to join our engineering organization. You and your team are responsible for designing, executing, and improving our testing strategy across our entire portfolio of consumer-facing products and the systems which drive those experiences.
You will manage, mentor, and guide our dedicated staff of QA engineers and testers. You are an inclusive leader who encourages divergent views and uses them to create discourse that leads to the best outcome. You prioritize curiosity, possess a drive for self-learning, and a desire to keep up to date in new technologies, services, industry trends, and methodologies. You will also contribute to building a positive culture on a lean, friendly, engineering team with that values constant improvement, collaboration, and constructive feedback.

How you'll contribute to our mission

  • Hire, manage, motivate, and grow a team of QA professionals
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the Engineering organization to educate, evangelize and drive initiatives
  • Design, implement, and constantly improve processes and systems which enable rapid test-driven development
  • Define a vision and quarterly roadmaps for the team
  • Work cross-functionally to harmonize the development, test, and release of new and existing products to effectively meet the needs of our business
  • Lead your team to plan and execute delivery efforts, ensuring that teams have appropriate specifications, direction, and resources to deliver on time
  • Systematically balance risk vs rigor to define the scope of testing and subsequent level of effort required for each release / delivery.
  • Identify, mitigate, and communicate scope and resource changes that may impact deliverables
  • Work closely with DevOps and Engineering to ensuring tight coupling between testing and our CI/CD pipelines
  • Understand and identify the best partners in our space and work with cross-functional teams to connect our vision with those partners
  • Ensure high level of excellence in the design, development, improvement, and execution of the testing processes
  • Develop and mentor staff; provide regular feedback and constantly ensure improvement in professional skills and attainment of career development goals
  • Develop proposals, RFPs, and presentations
  • Create technical specifications and requirements
  • Assist continuous professional plans of QA team members


You're ready for this! Here's a bit more about what we're looking for

  • 6+ years of quality engineering experience with progressively increasing responsibilities
  • 2+ years of leadership experience in an environment with robust technical products and constant innovation
  • B.S. degree in a technical or engineering field - Computer Science/ Computer Engineering preferred.
  • Minimum 3 year record of leading successful delivery of new products in a dynamic, multi-technology, cross-functional environment.
  • Self-learning and desire to keep up-to-date in new technologies, services, industry trends and methodologies
  • Strong experience in agile and test-driven methodologies
  • Tactical problem-solving skills and the readiness to get in the weeds when necessary

What about the office?
This is a full-time role with flexibility for remote work. At this time, our office remains closed but it is our goal to open as soon as it can be done safely. We are continuing to closely monitor the state of COVID-19 in NYC and will provide updates to our employees as soon as we have them available.
We will require COVID-19 vaccinations for anyone coming to our office. We are following CDC recommendations and will also require additional boosters, and will always follow CDC and NY state guidance on wearing masks in the office.
