About MeetElise

MeetElise is VC-backed company bringing AI to the housing industry.

Our first product is an AI leasing agent named Elise who already converts 65% more prospective renters to residents than a human leasing agent alone. She answers questions and schedules tours 24/7 and is so human-like that renters say they’re “here to meet Elise” when they show up for a tour.

Our customers already include many of the largest apartment management companies in the U.S. and they don’t want us to stop with leasing apartments - we want to develop AI for the rest of their apartment management business.

About the role

MeetElise is growing quickly and you’ll be the first engineering manager.

You'll have a lot of responsibility and will lead the way in building our engineering culture and process for our teams to optimize their output.

You’ll be supported by our CTO and co-founder (Tony Stoyanov, CS at the University of Cambridge) and our CEO and co-founder (Minna Song, CS at MIT). 

We need you to:

• Make decisions that prioritize the most impactful work for our engineering team.
• Try new ideas, experiment with new process, and provide technical mentorship to your teams.
• Ramp new engineers quickly and optimize for productivity and success of the team.
• Hold technical teams accountable to a high standard.
• Work with different functional areas of the company to achieve business and product goals.

About you

We’re looking for someone who:

• Is excited to work hard at a fast-growing startup
• Brings valuable management experience to our company
• Is excited about implementing good management practices from scratch
• Is a strong leader and problem-solver
• Knows how to manage competing priorities

Qualifications

• Has 5 + years of experience in software / engineering management 
• Has a Bachelor's in computer science (or equivalent)
