Position Overview

The Insights and Intelligence team is bringing data to the center of the customer success experience by powering data across the product built on a lead data platform.  As a Senior Frontend Engineer on the team, you will be responsible for designing and building dashboards, visualizations, and data powered interfaces while promoting engineering best practices.  Your work will be used by customer success leaders to evaluate customer health and lead their teams, and by customer success managers to more efficiently and intelligently keep customers happy.  Now is an exciting time to join Insights and Intelligence as we embark on building out a data platform and next generation data driven product.  If you are looking for more ownership and the ability to make a significant impact, we would love to meet you.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Collaborate with Product Managers, designers, and engineers to build enterprise-ready products
  • Design and implement high performance, reliable, and scalable systems
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
  • Participate in peer code and design reviews
  • Make pragmatic scoping and design decisions to optimize project timelines and minimize risk
  • Translate sometimes ambiguous business problems into actionable tasks
  • Provide mentorship through active pairing and coaching
  • Primarily focus on building using Vue.js and work with teammates leveraging Ruby on Rails, Go, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, and various big data technologies
  • Design and implement visualizations, dashboards, and interactive data-driven frontend application components
  • Opportunity to work full stack if preferred

 

What You’ll Need

  • 4+ years of Javascript experience developing web applications
  • Strong understanding of CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
  • Demonstrated expertise in a major reactive web framework (React, Vue)
  • History with one of the major flux pattern implementations (Redux, Vuex)
  • Mastery of asynchronous request handling, REST architectures, partial page updates, and AJAX
  • Experience working in a test-driven development environment
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies
  • Keen eye for strong UX and a history contributing to design systems
  • Experience with Webpack
  • Experience with GraphQL (preferred)
  • Experience with various visualization tools and libraries (preferred)
  • (Nice to have/Bonus) You’re interested in backend technologies/databases and have a willingness to traverse the full stack
