WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Work primarily with the engineering and product teams on coding the frontend of our product
• Enforce code quality through test driven development
• Contribute to the frontend user experience, UI architecture, and data structures
• Build systems quickly while also designing systems that scale as our company does
• Solve complex problems with the end user’s needs always in mind
• Collaborate with other engineers, product team members, designers, and data scientists to accomplish goals and deliver on timelines
• Develop fellow engineers through code reviews and mentorship, helping to engrain a standard of excellence within the group

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• 3-5 years of JavaScript experience
• Extensive knowledge of modern frontend frameworks (React a plus)
• An eye for design and acute attention to detail are encouraged (albeit not required)
• An understanding of the tradeoffs involved between technical, product, and business goals - someone who can help mold solutions to satisfy all the requisite needs will excel in this role
• Proficiency in CSS3 using a CSS pre-processing technology (Transitions and animations are a bonus)
• Team player first and foremost; strong collaborative approach (egos not required) while maintaining a level of self-starter mentality with a get-it-done approach
• Must be willing to work full-time in New York City
