About the Role
This Full Stack Engineer at iCapital Network will work end-to-end on new features, enhancements, and defect resolution on one or more of iCapital's software platforms, while maintaining a focus on frontend technology initiatives. You will work closely with our Product Management team throughout the software development process, writing automated tests, and doing code review on pull requests, among other duties.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a roadmap of frontend technology initiatives and communicate to other teams and departments.
- Work across engineering, product, and design teams to increase adoption of component library and other tools to standardize UI/UX.
- Architect systems to share common UI modules across repositories.
- Upgrade dependencies to keep our tech stack current.
- Act as key contributor on software architecture decisions and direction.
- Make yourself available to developers and business stakeholders for consultation and assistance with problem solving, as needed.
- Work with various iCapital business units to understand needs, resolve issues, and maintain open lines of communication.
- Keep a forward-looking eye on the technology landscape, helping to shape overall technology strategy for iCapital.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of web-based application development
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with modern JS frameworks such as React
- Any Angular 1.6 experience is a plus
- 2+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails, Python or Node
- Experience leading a dynamic team
- Strong knowledge of tools like Webpack, Babel, and package managers
- Strong knowledge of frontend testing tools
- Working knowledge of a11y and responsive web
- Ability to work in an Agile/Kanban methodology
- Solid problem-solving abilities, excellent communication, and collaboration skills
