Senior Informatica Developer
Position Summary:
We are looking for a candidate who can join our talented team and make an impact in the areas of data integration and virtualization. The candidate will deliver solutions that will enable business users to use data to drive desired business outcomes. The candidate will work with technologies and tools such as Informatica, Denodo, Python, Oracle, Tableau and AWS. The ideal candidate will have a passion for data, be inquisitive and repeatedly ask why, enjoy interacting with others, not be afraid to fail or ask for help and want to be part of a highly performing agile team.
Responsibilities:
- Engineer and deliver end to and data solutions to meet a wide range of business requirements using Informatica PowerCenter and Denodo
- Administer, troubleshoot and provide developer support for the Informatica PowerCenter and Denodo environments
- Develop LINUX and Python scripts to enhance Informatica's ETL capabilities and shortcomings
- Work with business users to acquire and analyze data to meet their business needs
- Investigate data issues by tracing data flows from source to target systems and writing SQL
- Performance tune ETL workflows, scripts and SQL written by other team members and business users
- Support weekly and monthly data load processes, investigate and bring issues to resolution
- Be an active member of our Agile team and processes, participating in all ceremonies and continuous improvement activities
- Embrace learning, innovation and disruption in a continually changing world where new technologies and techniques are introduced on a continual basis
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience creating Informatica workflows and associated components
- 3 years of experience creating tables and views in an Oracle database
- 3 years of experience writing and tuning complex SQL queries
- 2 years of experience in designing data models (star and snowflake schemas)
- 2 years of experience in writing LINUX shell scripts
- In depth understanding of data warehousing, ETL concept, data loading strategies, data archiving, and ETL error handling
- Ability to work independently as well as on a team
- Pays attention to detail, is value and results oriented and driven
- Always gives 110% no matter what the task, takes pride in their work
- Good communication skills, can convey a message, make a point and most importantly listen
- Experience writing Python scripts, using Denodo, TOAD, Tableau or Tableau Data Prep a plus
- Prior application administration experience a plus
- Basic knowledge of how Finance, Sales and HR organizations work a plus
- 4 year Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Computer Science/Math
