WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Provide insurance domain specific technical expertise and leadership to develop solutions spanning business processes, platforms, and environments
  • Development of proposals for implementation and design of scalable solution and enterprise architecture
  • Participation in customer's workshops and presentation of the proposed solution
  • Generate conceptual/logical architectures, system documents and risk assessments
  • Oversee recommended designs through implementation
  • Define common development processes, platforms, and tools
  • Develop roadmaps and implementation strategy
  • Review and audit of existing solutions, design and system architecture
  • Create technical documentation
  • Establish and leverage relationships with senior Business and Technical leaders
  • Advocate for business-focused solution approach and influence peers, promote solution best practices
  • Mentor others


REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years of experience working for or with Tier 1 Insurance Carriers
  • Strong knowledge of programming and scripting languages
  • Experience with major technologies and frameworks
  • Understanding of ISV space and package implementations (ideally one or more of Guidewire, Duckcreek, Majesco, EIS, Insurity, UNQORK, Fadata, Pega, etc.)
  • Proven experience as a solution architect for P&C or Life insurance. Demonstrable experience in understanding Insurance Technology patterns and implementation of technology capabilities using these Technology patterns
  • Experience with solutions designed and developed in large cloud computing infrastructures such as Amazon Web Services, Azure Cloud, or Google Cloud
  • Experience in client-driven large-scale implementation projects
  • Technical team leading and team management experience, with good understanding of Agile (Scrum)
  • Strong experience in applications design, development, and maintenance
  • Solid knowledge of design patterns, refactoring concepts, unit tests, and CI/CD
  • Practical expertise in performance tuning and optimization, bottleneck problems analysis
  • Solid technical expertise & troubleshooting skills
  • Possess expertise in Object-Oriented Analysis and Design
  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent in Software Engineer, Computer Science or closely related field
