DESCRIPTION

You will have a direct impact to the customer experience through the design and implementation of new features and functionalities in Confluence. You'll work as part of a small but rapidly growing high-energy team delivering incredible, create improvements our product. You'll collaborate with other developers to write the best code for the project and deliver amazing results that our users love.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Evaluate business requirements and consult business analysts on technical design
  • Perform initial testing and debugging
  • Actively participate in Code reviews and Team discussions and share his thoughts wherever feasible
  • Interact with other teams across services and multiple levels of the stack, for both design and troubleshooting purposes
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement within our team and across the larger organization
  • Support reliable systems that operate at scale

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in CS/Engineering/Science/Math preferred
  • 5+ years of experience working as a back-end software developer
  • Strong Java Development skills in J2SE/J2EE applications
  • Knowledge of the principles to construct fault-tolerance, reliable and durable software systems
  • Knowledge to evaluate trade-offs between correctness, robustness, performance, space and time
  • Experience working in Agile methodology and working with a SCRUM team
  • Good understanding of all SDLC phases
  • Ability to operate effectively and independently in a dynamic, fluid environment
  • Fluency in English Reading and Writing

NICE TO HAVE

  • Experience with large-scale distributed systems
  • Building Cloud platform services for large scale systems
  • Familiarity with AWS cloud computing platform
  • DB, Postgres, or AWS RDS experience
  • Practical knowledge of Agile software development methodologies (e.g., XP, Scrum)
  • Experience with continuous delivery and infrastructure as code
