Senior Manager, Engineering - Business Systems

The Team:
The Business Systems function is responsible for the overall administration, governance and architecture of business systems throughout Datadog including Workday, Salesforce and NetSuite. The teams work closely with various business units to improve their processes with new workflows, integrations and automations. They are involved in system deployments and changes and help design the overall flows of data within and between systems. In addition, Business Systems is responsible for user account lifecycle and adherence to several compliance frameworks and security best practices.
The Opportunity:
As the Senior Manager for Business Systems, you will be responsible for hiring, growing and managing multiple teams. You will help set the team’s strategy and roadmap, provide guidance, and serve as a point of escalation. You will build strong relationships across the organization in order to advance the team and company mission.
You Will:
- Manage, mentor and recruit for the Business Systems teams
- Build awareness in the organization to the mission of Business Systems
- Create strong relationships with employees at all levels in all parts of the organization
- Help create the strategy, roadmap and quarterly goals
- Learn how business systems currently function and how they are used within Datadog. Use this knowledge to identify gaps and areas for improvement
- Ensure business systems adhere to Datadog security and compliance standards including SOC 2 and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX)
- Facilitate a culture of innovation through new software, systems and programs
- Create and update policies, standards and procedures
- Be hands-on when necessary
You Are:
- At least seven years experience in IT, Business Systems or similar technical role
- At least three years owning business systems such as Workday, Salesforce or NetSuite
- Experienced as a people manager for multiple teams
- Experience d supporting compliance frameworks including SOC 2 and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX)
- Experienced architecting complex solutions
- Someone with strong problem solving & technical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Fascinated by the way things work and love to learn
- Want to work in a fast, high growth startup environment

The Senior Manager, Engineering - Business Systems role has an annual starting salary of $100,000, and a competitive equity package.
