Description

EPAM's Client is looking for a senior .NET backend developer to work from amazing San Diego, CA. The incumbent will work with other EPAM engineers on IoT Platform that helps Client to provision and manage millions of IoT devices in transportation, home security and other industries. The role is strategical to EPAM entering new verticals of collaboration on the account and will require effective communication and collaboration skills.Engineering teams are in San Diego (EPAM + Client’s).Minimum or no business trips. WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Develop backend services and APIs for an IoT Platform solution
  • Extend the integrations of the solutions with other Verizon or third-party vendors
  • Collaborate with other teams who are responsible for other parts of the Connected Home initiative
  • Modernize and streamline the architecture of existing services and APIs
  • Refactor the architecture to support moving certain components from on-premises to AWS cloud

NICE TO HAVE

  • Linux is a plus / not a requirement
  • Java is a plus / not a requirement
  • Good understanding of AWS Cloud environment
  • Good understanding of Git Flow development techniques (branching, pull requests, etc.)
  • Good understanding of modern Web protocols (REST, MQTT, XMPP, XML over HTTP)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good verbal and written English skills (B2 or higher), comfortable to collaborate in English-speaking work environment
