About the Role

The Senior Systems Engineer will work cross functionally between our implementations and SRE teams to build and maintain the VPN connections and SSO connections that allow the MANTL platform to work seamlessly with customers existing technology systems. This is a mission critical role that sits between infrastructure, application development, and implementations.    

Who You Are:

You are passionate about building and maintaining stable infrastructure that allows application code to do amazing things. You like being on the cutting edge of DevOps work and are opinionated about infrastructure as code, telemetry, and managed infrastructure. You are a team player, good communicator, and pride yourself on being someone who can cut through the confusion that can surround making different companies' technologies play well together.      

Must Haves: 

• 3+ years of previous professional experience building/maintaining hybrid networks between on-prem and cloud based networks including inter-company VPN connections
• 2+ years of previous professional experience building/maintaining SSO connections. Configuring systems like Ping Identity, Okta, Keycloak, or Shibboleth
• Previous experience using infrastructure automation and configuration management tools  like terraform, ansible, salt, or chef
• Excellent written and verbal communication

 Nice to Haves:

• Previous experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Previous experience as an application developer
• Previous experience writing backend applications with Node.js
• Previous experience writing backend applications with Golang

Bonus:

• Previous experience building CI/CD pipelines
• Experience monitoring production infrastructure
• Experience writing software that implements protocols like OIDC, OAuth, or SAML in any language
