Job Title: Senior Platform Engineer

 

Location: New York, NY

 

Job Duties:

 

ADP Technology Services, Inc. seeks a Senior Platform Engineer at our New York, New York location. Responsibilities: Participate in relevant aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including planning, constructions, testing, reviews, and demonstrations. Develop and enhance software programs with data structures that best suit the system's scalability and performance requirements. Debug and troubleshoot system issues. Participate in creating proofs-of-concepts and analyze new technology for its relevance to the software product being built by ADP. Develop and review software requirements, create design documents, write programs, and package, test, configure, and deploy software. Work with clients, product owners, solution architects, and engineers to plan, design, develop, test, and implement information technology solutions.

Education & Experience Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, related Engineering degree or a related field plus five (5) years of related experience. Employer will accept a master's degree plus two (2) years of experience in lieu of bachelor's degree plus five years of experience.

Work Experience:

Two (2) years of experience must include: JavaScript MVC frameworks, including Angular.js or React; OOP technologies, including Java or C#; Browser technologies, including JavaScript, CSS or HTML; Data structures, algorithms, and run-time optimizations; Functional programming, including node.JS, Erlang or Elixir; SQL databases, including MySQL or Postgres; NoSQL datastores including Cassandra, Redis or Couchbase; AWS, Google Cloud or Azure; Container orchestration tools, including Kubernetes and docker; Agile software methodology, including Scrum, Kanban, and Lean; and Software development best practices, including TDD and pair programming.
