About us:

Socure is a NYC-based software company that produces a next-generation security SaaS solution to combat the growing risk of identity theft and related fraud to consumers and businesses. Socure leverages online and offline data to enable trust in digital identity, enabling financial inclusion for those within the traditional banking systems as well as the millions of un-banked and under-banked people around the world.

Socure’s senior software developer will develop, test, and modify solutions to technical problems. Specifically we are looking for a results driven, team player who can communicate well, and work in a fast-paced, cross functional environment with teams in NYC and India and has experience scaling software. 

Responsibilities:

• Agile development of high-quality software products and solutions using Java and Scala
• Monitoring and improving existing deployments towards continuous improvement of Socure’s products
• Promptly addressing bugs with code as identified by clients or via internal testing
• Testing developed code for accuracy and completeness
• On-time delivery of code in support of product plans and project milestones
• Reporting out on product/project status to senior management

Must have:

• B.S. Computer Science or Computer Information Systems or equivalent work experience is required
• A minimum of 3+ years of experience working in a similar role building web services and REST APIs at scale
• Strong background in Java and Scala
• Building and managing SOA web-services and REST micro services is required
• Experience using SQL databases such as MySQL, PostGreSQL and Redshift and optimizing SQL queries on at least one of these

Nice to Have:

• Experience with NoSQL databases and Amazon Web Services is a plus
• Experience with one or more agile PM tools such as Pivotal Tracker, Rally, Jira
• Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery processes
• Experience collaborating between data science and software development
