HUMAN was founded in 2012 in a Brooklyn sci-fi bookstore by Tamer Hassan, Michael Tiffany, Dan Kaminsky, and Ash Kalb. The HUMAN R&D team is pivotal to our mission to protect the heart of the internet by disrupting the economics of cybercrime. They are the ones uncovering and fighting bot operations like PARETO, ICEBUCKET, 3ve, and Methbot. HUMAN supports our R&D humans by strongly valuing deep work and flexibility. Additionally, this team is encouraged to participate in R&D Research Friday - a designated half-day each week dedicated to trying new ideas and personal career development. The Cloud Platform & Operation team delivers tools and products that act as a platform for the rest of engineering and detection to focus and deliver on their missions more efficiently. It also is responsible for ensuring that all our systems and applications are running at required performance and availability according to the published SLAs.
Our current plan for 2022 is to create a worldwide, fully automated system to automatically build cloud deployment services to roll out different products in the cloud in different environments.
What you will do:
- Develop large-scale systems deployed on physical service providers on multiple cloud architectures (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Build agnostic DevOps pipelines in the cloud.
- Implement a new GSP and Azure cloud environment.
- Evaluate and implement strategies to enhance AWS performance.
- Scale Automation & High Availability Infrastructure Design.
- Production coding deployments are automated as much as possible.
- Debug the most complex problems in terms of internet level scale
- Master containerization tools (docker and Kubernetes).
- Systems Administration tasks and network troubleshooting
- Apply DevOps principles when appropriate.
- Configuration management
- Own backend services such as Kafka, DNS, VoltDB
- Apply Agile methodologies.

- Have both breadth and depth of software engineering expertise.
- Excellent verbal and written language skills, especially when talking about code and systems.
