About The Role

Say is hiring front-end engineers to build human-centered usable software products and systems. In this role, you will use your extensive front end knowledge to build the Say web applications. You will work with real-time data streams, engineer for performance across browsers, and delight people by making the best software we can imagine. Your work will live in a robust codebase whose tech stack includes TypeScript, React, Redux, Python/Django, AWS, Docker and Kubernetes. This role is highly collaborative and will require that you regularly work with Product, Design and Engineering to spec, build, test and deploy new features.

This role reports to Say’s Engineering Manager.

Qualifications

- 4+ years of experience writing client-side JavaScript and React js

- Expertise in building complex layouts with CSS and HTML

- Experience building and debugging complex systems in a team environment

- Experience with modern browser technologies

- Strong UX and design sensibilities, and a desire to sweat the small stuff

- Strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and empathy

- Self-­awareness and a desire to continually improve

- Hold yourself to a high bar for quality of code and quality of user experience

Nice to have

- Experience with TypeScript

- Prior experience working in a small startup environment

- Experience with email templating languages and MJML
