As our Senior Software Engineer joining our team, you will have the chance to join one of our two Product Eng Teams: B2B or B2C.  You will be working on a product that helps our buildings run more efficiently while creating a more meaningful experience for residents while working closely with product managers, designers and cross-functional business stakeholders. We are on a mission to reach thousands of building units, which will impact the lives of residents and their daily lives: everything from signing leases, getting packages, signing up for community building events and more. 

The  B2B team is shaping the future of property technology and how residents, property owners and managers engage with 3rd party applications. While our B2C team focuses on delivering products centered around our residents and Alfreds (our most important customers and employees).  We are obsessed with creating the feeling of home for everyone through our mobile apps, marketplace of services & events, and team of Alfreds.  You will be responsible for the tools and apps that will drive customer engagement and spend on our platform.

How you’ll contribute to #OneTeam

• Develop clean, well-designed software using React/React Native, Typescript, NodeJS, and Postgres.
• Write tested and efficient code. Deliver software on a sustainable schedule that keeps work-life balance in mind
• Be deeply engaged in the full development lifecycle starting from design, to development, testing, deployment, and finally maintenance and monitoring.
• Work on a team of peers in an environment that will keep you constantly challenged and learning new things every day
• Work with business stakeholders to identify software solutions to business challenges
• Mentor and learn from your teammates and foster an inclusive, empowering team dynamic

Who you are 

• You have at least 5 years of real world experience working collaboratively and communicating effectively with cross-functional teams.  You’ve shipped multiple large software projects and learned from the experiences
• Desire to drive serious business impact and a bias-for-action. You like to move forward, you follow through, and you’re accountable to the results
• An innate curiosity and an open mind. You're able to learn new tools and technologies quickly
• Empathy isn’t just a word for you, it’s a principle you live by and look to contribute actively where you work
• Familiarity and experience with cloud providers like GCP and containerization.
• Looks proactively beyond the obvious for continuous improvement opportunities. Demonstrates analytical thinking - recommends improvements and uses data to prove/disprove them
• Able to complete and delivery feature or functionality independently and reliably
