What you'll do:

• Helping build a team and cultivate innovation by driving cross-collaboration and execution of software design projects across multiple teams
• Writing software to support Transfix’s business operations and freight management applications, which entails writing software in languages including, but not limited to, Python and Ruby, writing automated tests, and debugging errors
• Performing software architecture design and review, which entails reading and writing software and architecture specifications and collaborating with team members to provide and receive feedback on specifications
• Providing peer code reviews, which entails reading, executing, and debugging software code and providing
• written or verbal feedback to the software’s author
• And configuring and monitoring cloud-based software services on Amazon Web Services, which entails accessing Amazon Web Services platform through a graphical UI, command-line tools, or programmatic Application Programming Interface (API) to manage and configure services.

About you:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field plus 8 years of experience in job offered / software development
• Prior experience must include 8 years of experience using a general purpose programming language including: (Ruby, JavaScript, Python, or Java)
• 8 years of experience architecting and developing distributed systems
• 4 years of experience leading project teams and setting technical direction
• 8 years of working with the following: Web Application Development, Unix/Linux environments, Databases, Distributed and Parallel systems, Mobile Application Development, Front End Development, Security and Privacy
• And 4 years of experience working with cloud based (Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform) or on-premise servers and virtual machines
• Must successfully complete competency-based interview
