Provisioning and deployment of new systems in a rapidly growing environment. Maintaining mission critical MySQL databases and DB replication. Responsible for developers to tune both the application stack and databases for optimal performance. Ensure the proper refining of internal processes and documentation. General systems maintenance tasks such as daily review of logs and alerts, managing resource usage, troubleshooting routine automated maintenance and backup processes, applying patches, etc. Diagnose and resolve internal system issues. Manage system scripts/utilities in Bash or Python. Use strong communication skills (verbal and written) to immediately respond to production issues to ensure continued service. Execution of system-related operations, including off-hour maintenance as required.

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or U.S. equivalent in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field, plus 6 years of professional experience performing systems administration (including using networking concepts (ISO/OSI Reference Model, HDLC, Ethernet/IEEE, LAN/WAN, IP, ARP, TCP, DNS ), performing systems maintenance (including daily review of logs and alerts, managing resource usage, troubleshooting routine automated maintenance and backup processes and applying patches), and load balancing, and working with HA environments, Linux systems, SQL databases and DB replication. Must also have the following: 3 years of professional experience using scripting languages (including Bash, Node Js, Ruby, Python or Perl); 3 years of professional experience performing Unix system administration, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, and using system performance monitoring tools.
