The Peloton Engineering Design Tools and Systems team provides design software, Product Data Management (PDM), Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Computer Aided Design (CAD) and related solutions, systems platforms and design processes to design teams across multiple global sites. We are looking for an experienced Windchill Application Engineer to join the Hardware Engineering team to plan, design and implement PLM solutions enabling efficient product development processes. The candidate enjoys solving problems and has a strong technical background in PDM/PLM/CAD applications and configuration. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Windchill PDMLink, Windchill ProjectLink and Navigate to design and implement PLM business solutions..
Key Responsibilities:
This role will be the PLM business application owner for the Hardware Development organization and will partner with internal team members to define requirements, evaluate system configuration for design tools, PDM/PLM applications, gap analysis and develop functional design requirements. The role will also build engineering tools and process automation through collaboration and integration with CAD, PD and PLM systems through business requirements definition, system configuration, proof-of-concept prototypes, defining test and acceptance criteria. Candidates will have experience building solutions that enable business process efficiency and enable innovation for a fast paced product development organization. As the team is highly dynamic with an exciting product roadmap, this individual will play a key role in designing and implementing innovative solutions with opportunities for interaction at all levels of the company.
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
- 7+ years of work experience in PDM/PLM systems.
- Proficiency in PTC suite of products: Windchill PDMLink, Windchill ProjectLink, Navigate
- Experience with Windchill CAD integration with Creo, as well as other Workgroup manager integrations
- Experience analyzing data and translating business requirements into technical specifications and proof of concept proposals
- Root cause analysis and complex problem solving skills to solve for challenges that span development process, systems, tools and organizational boundaries
- Experience with Part/BOM management, version control, change management and file vault configurations
- Knowledge of Windchill data model, development of workflows, custom report generation, OIRs, lifecycle and workflow templates
- Knowledge of Windchill customizations, upstream and downstream integrations (CAD/PDM/ERP)
