The Role

Crossix, a Veeva Company is seeking a talented Site Reliability Engineer to join and become part of the effort to bring SRE culture and best practices to Crossix.

Our SRE team is responsible for the design, creation, and maintenance of a complete multi-on-prem and cloud applications, deployment and monitoring framework, working with AWS, GCP, Azure and many cloud services and applications.

You will be responsible to deliver the highest level of observability (monitoring, tracing, alerting, logging) and availability according to requirements and by following best practices.

What You'll Do

• Ensure high uptime and reliability of Crossix’s production environment, on-prem and cloud.
• Take responsibility for managing the production environment – prod access, security, visibility, change management, deployment, architecture, and tools.
• Perform root cause analysis for complex failures and offer modern solutions and tools.
• Utilize Grafana to develop effective dashboards that provide key insights and system performance.
• Analyze performance and stability issues and create in-house automation tooling.
• Work closely with DevOps, R&D, product, and project managers to enable automated CI/CD methods.
• Design, develop, and drive troubleshooting & mitigation tools as part of driving self-healing agenda.
• Constantly improve the technology stack, supporting the data growth and the customer’s requirements.
• Working in a data-driven company with cutting-edge environments that combines on-prem and cloud technologies.

Requirements

• Experienced in managing a large, distributed scalable production environment, preferably in a Big Data analytics company.
• 3+ years as a Linux system engineer with proven experience and a deep understanding of Linux systems and performance tuning.
• 3+ years of experience with Bash / Python.
• 2+ years of experience working and utilizing Grafana.
• Elite problem-solving and troubleshooting - system, application, and database level.
• Experience working in an AWS environment and MYSQL DB.

Nice to Have

• Familiar with common network protocols and concepts.
• Experience with Ansible
