Job Description As a Site Reliability/Production Support Engineer you will dive head-first into creating or applying innovative solutions and techniques that advance the reliability of our digital services application. As an experienced member of our Production Engineering group, we look first and foremost for people who are passionate around solving business problems through innovation and engineering practices. You'll be required to apply your depth of knowledge and expertise to all aspects of the software development lifecycle, as well as partner continuously with your many stakeholders on a daily basis to stay focused on common goals. Role Requirements and Expectations

  • Infrastructure deployment automation and management of infrastructure provisioning for on-prem and public cloud platforms
  • Design, develop, and implement appropriate monitoring, logging, and telemetry solutions based on the system design and business usage
  • Design, develop, code, test, and deliver resilient software to automate manual operational work
  • Strong collaboration skills to be able to work across team to drive integrations in a hybrid-cloud environment
  • In depth knowledge of microservices and service-oriented architecture
  • Experience working with end users or developer communities
  • Passionate about site reliability engineering (SRE) practices, new technologies and drive for continuous improvement.
  • Troubleshoot priority incidents, facilitate blameless post-mortems / root cause analysis, permanent closure of incidents and analyze usage patterns to predict issues and take proactive actions


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a computer science or engineering discipline
  • 5+ years of experience in a large-scale environment migrating to the cloud (Cloud Foundry, AWS, Azure, etc.)
  • Experience in containerization with Kubernetes/Docker and AWS cloud services
  • Experience in using industry standard monitoring tools e.g., AppDynamics, Dynatrace, Apica, Splunk, Elk, FluentD, Prometheus, Elasticsearch, Grafana, Nagios, and Datadog in order to define Service Level Objectives and implement monitoring solutions
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, using CloudFormation and Terraform
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum development practices, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Proficiency and hands-on experience with Java and/or Python
