• Partner with product owners and development leads to implement strategies to meet the objectives set by senior executives
• Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies and processes to ensure the highest quality product
• Provide technical documentation for all systems as needed
• Design the system architecture and each individual component at a high level
• Create unified development standards for the Engineering Team
• Participate in code inspections and test plan reviews
• Troubleshoot code level problems quickly and efficiently

Requirements

• Detailed working knowledge of software design patterns
• Knowledgeable in software applications using agile software development life-cycles and methodologies
• Knowledgeable in architecture methodologies
• Advanced knowledge of one or more programming languages
• Ability to understand business processes and translate them to the application of technology required to implement them
• Working knowledge of open source database applications, both transactional and document based
• 10+ years of experience with architectural design of large-scale, highly reliable and highly available Web based applications is required
