The Role

We’re looking for a software engineer to join a small team building out a new network optimization technology. 

This role offers the opportunity to join a product at the beginning of its lifecycle and to assume extensive ownership: you will be involved in determining product direction, software design/development, deployment, and operations. The technology encompasses low-level systems programming, distributed systems programming, and data processing. It’s a large system with significant breadth, but allows for depth and specialization as your interests develop.

Your Skills:

• At least one of: Java, Kotlin, or Go
• Excellent UNIX and networking knowledge
• Strong Linux systems programming skills
• Knowledge of distributed systems
• Ability to design with modern internet infrastructure operation in mind, including metrics, logging, automation, and alerting

Nice to have:

Familiarity with

• Modern data science/big data stacks (Pandas, Spark, Hadoop)
• ARP, ICMP, TCP/IP
• Internet routing, particularly BGP
• C, C++, or another systems programming language
• Routing/switching hardware
• Cisco IOS, Junos OS, or Arista EOS
