Fluent is looking for a senior C# full stack database developer, responsible for building core functions to its platform and applications. This includes back-end database and services development, ETL data processing, and support for new platform enhancement requests. A seasoned developer in this role will be responsible for working with the team on all layers of the platform infrastructure. A commitment to collaborative problem solving is an essential requirement for this role.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Experience with jQuery, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Angular, React.js is preferred
- Experience with Linux / Bash shell is preferred
- Experience performing bulk data movement and processing in HDFS and RDBMS environments are preferred
- Experience working in an Agile environment is preferred
- Familiarity with source control frameworks like Git/Stash
- Experience in database performance tuning, query optimization and monitoring of MySQL databases is required.
- Candidate has ability to interpret requirements, build reports and provide ongoing feeds for supporting the overall business operations.
- Candidate is skilled at design and development of data collection systems which implement strategies to improve overall data quality, hygiene and standardization.
- Candidate can query and acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain the supporting applications’ databases.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identifies, analyzes, and interprets patterns in complex data sets to better support the business' operational needs
- Participates in evaluating new technologies to ensure the advancement of the platform architecture
- Provides and supports recommendations for improved procedures and policies
- Protects data within the database by supporting and/or developing the proper access methods; specifying user level of access
- Maintains platform documentation by writing logical and physical architectural design and plans into the knowledge repository
- Works closely with management to prioritize and understand the business needs for the platform
Requirements
- Strong proficiency troubleshooting and resolving database integrity issues, performance issues, blocking and deadlocking issues, replication issues, log shipping issues, connectivity issues, security issues etc.
- Experience in SQL Development – and has the ability to write and troubleshoot SQL Code and design (stored procs, functions, tables, views, triggers, indexes, constraints, etc.)
- Software coding proficiency in C#, .NET Framework or .NET Core software development
- Experience building SOAP-based and REST-ful web services utilizing WCF/Web API
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science Engineering, or a related field or an equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years’ experience in database application development
