The Quality Assurance team is charged with ensuring all software produced and used by our products is high quality and meets industry standards. We make use of the latest technology to automated our quality testing and integrate it into our CI/CD pipeline.

The Software Development Engineer in Test works as part of DriveWealth’s QA team. You will be responsible for building automated API tests utilizing Postman and other tools. We are looking for someone who isn’t afraid to share ideas, make improvements, and help better our processes. At the same time, we’re looking for someone who isn’t afraid to speak up when something is wrong. You will assist in various forms of testing including functional, regression, and performance. If you like working with REST APIs and designing test scenarios for end-to-end integration tests in a complicated system, this is the job for you!

Responsibilities

  • Design test plans, scenarios, scripts, and procedures
  • Build and execute both automated and manual API test cases using Postman/Newman
  • Analyze test results and reporting defects to the engineering team
  • Review business requirements and participate in various stakeholder meetings
  • Work with the engineering team to correct defects
  • Create release notes and documentation
  • Assist the QA team in other areas of testing as necessary

Requirements

  • Experience with Postman, or other API testing tools
  • A good working knowledge of test management software, and QA methodologies
  • 3+ years experience in a QA and/or engineering role
  • Experience integrating testing tools using vendor APIs
  • Good team working and critical thinking skills
  • Great verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/similar technical field, or prior equivalent experience

Bonus Points

  • Experience with JIRA, TestRail, and git
  • Experience with Postman as an automated API testing tool using Newman CLI
  • Experience with JMeter, Gatling, or other load testing tools
  • Experience with NoSQL and SQL database environments
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services
  • Experience in a fin-tech or financial services company
  • Prior experience working in an agile environment
