About The Role

This position will be our next person filling out our test engineering team. Your main focuses will be writing code and acting as a mentor to all of us to ensure our work is the best it can be. You will be collaborating with engineers of all disciplines helping us to ensure optimal quality for our customers.

What You’ll Do

  • Support the larger Engineering team through building and maintaining our testing strategies, partnering with another test engineer
  • Work with all of Engineering as a coach and mentor for how we all think about quality, helping us to learn and refine best-practices for our test development and utilization
  • Foster a healthy, thriving and inclusive environment where we all take pride in the quality of our work
  • Work closely with Product, Design and Support to ensure that our solutions to customer issues solves their needs without introducing unexpected problems along the way

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience with load, stress and performance testing and creating these practices within an organization
  • Experience building automated end-to-end tests for web applications using Cypress or Selenium WebDriver using javascript
  • Experience contributing to young test frameworks, suggesting improvements, and maintaining these tests
  • Dedication to working with engineers to learn best-practices for ensuring quality
  • Experience getting automated tests into automated deployment pipelines
  • Passion for working with, teaching, and learning from a diverse group of people
  • Emotional intelligence and understanding that people are more important than technology

Compensation

FireHydrant believes that everyone should be compensated fairly and we strive for transparency within our organization and the industry. We set our salaries at the 75th percentile based on compensation data from hundreds of companies at our stage and everyone in a given role is paid the same without adjusting for locality. The compensation for this position is $150,000, $171,000, or $180,000 depending on leveling.
