Job Description
This is an opportunity for an enthusiastic engineer to join the MarketAxess development team working in a fast-paced environment. S/he will be part of the team working on company’s architectural modernization effort, building the data platform for analytical and transaction processing. This role will work alongside the development team, driving efforts to scale the growth of our system as we continue to expand our user base. This position will collaborate closely with technologists and colleagues across the business.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and maintenance quality assurance frameworks for data and pipeline infrastructure
- Drive the creation and execution of test strategy and test plans
- Leverage tools to proactively monitor, capture, and alert quality issues
- Define, measure, and report quality metrics via dashboard
What You Bring to the Table
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
- 4+ years of working experience as a quality engineer
- Hands-on experience with test automation using a programming language or a scripting language (Java and Python is preferred)
- Good understanding AWS infrastructure and services
- Solid knowledge of SQL, especially analytical functions
- Have experience working with terabytes of data
- Experience with tools in AWS to monitor and support cloud-based solutions, such as Datadog
- Experience in Infrastructure as Code technologies, such as Terraform, Helm Charts and CloudFormation
- Demonstrated success working in an agile development
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong prioritization and problem resolution skills
- The profile of a team-player who forms strong relationships with colleagues and has good interpersonal skills
Extra Credit
- Application of machine learning techniques for data quality
- Experience with trading and market data
