Software Engineer, Backend - User Platform at Peloton

We are transforming our legacy monolithic architecture to microservices by introducing cutting edge tools and frameworks such as Kotlin, Kubernetes, API Gateways, Service Mesh and more. We are a fast-paced and quickly growing team working on several greenfield projects. You will get the opportunity to develop mission-critical internal as well as direct customer-facing services. You will also have an opportunity to learn and grow from some of the best engineers in the industry.
What you’ll do
- Build core microservices that scale to serve thousands of transactions per second
- Measure and tune services to ensure adherence to performance SLOs.
- Write Infrastructure as Code to maintain our AWS Infrastructure
- Own features/functionality and deliver projects end-to-end with high quality and robust architecture.
- Participate in Agile methodology and SCRUM processes such as Sprint Planning, Backlog grooming, Daily Standups, and Retrospectives with the team.
- Demonstrable experience building high-scale microservices
- Experience with Java, Kotlin, Docker and container orchestration systems
- Working knowledge of CI/CD tools
- Experience with databases (SQL and no-SQL)
- BS in CS or EE or equivalent experience
