Job Description
Seeking a Software Engineer to join our Electronic Medical Records team. We provide support for a variety of MSK's clinical systems which include the EMR, Teletracking and Forms on Demand (FOD). Additionally, we support and continuously enhance the Application for Research Charges (ARC) which is an internal web-based application.
In this role, you will use your expert application knowledge to provide development, testing, and maintenance of these clinical systems including the integration of internally written processes.
What you'll do: • Design and develop client and web-based applications • Develop and support internal processes that integrate with applications using C# and .Net • Participate in the implementation of system upgrades • Work collaboratively with other Information Technology teams for implementing and supporting the clinical systems • Interpret and evaluate user needs, gather and analyze relevant data in order to develop these into new application requirements • Troubleshoot, analyze, and implement effective solutions for system related problems • Prepare test plans, coordinate, and conduct functional, interface, and integration testing • Off-hours support required on a rotating basis
Who you are: • Proficient in any of the following: C#, ASP.Net, .Net Core, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Web Services • Experienced in database programming using SQL Server and Oracle • Experienced in systems implementations and support including maintenance and software upgrades • Capable of building strong customer relationships and delivering customer-centric solutions • Adept in analytical, decision-making, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills • Able to effectively handle multiple projects and prioritize tasks • Goal oriented and consistently striving to achieve efficient results • Familiarity with reporting tools such as Tableau and SSRS • Familiarity with Cloud Architecture (AWS or Azure) is a plus • Prior work experience in the healthcare sector is a plus
