As a Professional Services Software Engineer at Handshake, you'll work closely with brands to identify business needs and solutions to integrate Handshake into their sales software ecosystem and to customize the look, feel and behavior of the Handshake platform. Working on the same team as Solutions Consultants, you will build custom solutions that are a critical part of how every product reaches every shelf worldwide.

Custom Technical Solutions

Handshake offers a flexible platform to enable our customers to sell in the ways that make sense to them. The tools and libraries used, provided by Handshake applications engineers, are reactive and functional and enable our Engineers to design and deploy custom installs of Handshake to build and customize solutions that are specialized to the needs of our most highly-valued customers.

Enterprise Software Integrations

Handshake strives to improve every interaction a brand has with stores and consumers, ensuring that orders are easy to write, that stores can see what they're buying, and that even when offline sales professionals always have access to the data they need. In order for these orders to turn into products on shelves, they need to integrate into a variety of procurement, fulfillment and accounting systems. Working with administrators at some of the world's largest brands, Implementation Engineers design and build processes that communicate with different ERPs, APIs and Database systems in order to fully satisfy unique sets of requirements.

You're a great candidate if you:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field
  • 2+ years experience in a relevant field
  • Enjoy “people focused” development. Working with our own internal consultants and clients directly in order to derive requirements and drive solutions.
  • Familiarity with ETL and related processes. (Bonus points for having used solutions such as Boomi, Mulesoft, Informatica, etc.)
  • Experience doing enterprise level integrations (Quickbooks, Netsuite, etc)
  • Are a team player and great communicator.
  • Have passion for working on and solving abstract complex customer problems.
  • Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly and master diverse technologies and techniques.
  • Experience with languages like Python, Java or Ruby.
  • Familiar with JavaScript.
  • Experience with git and modern development workflows.
