CLEAR is looking for a Software Engineer in Test (Contract) to join our Technology team in our NYC office. In this role, you will be supporting and working with our Airport + Sports Pods front end team which is building and maintaining our flagship rich client Airports application. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about technology, has an intellectual curiosity, and thrives in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

What You Will Do:

• Plan, develop and execute of manual/automation and performance testing of .NET based front end rich client application
• Work with the Engineering team to create test plans for existing and new functionalities
• Collaborate with members of product and engineering team to ensure all services are having a comprehensive automation testing coverage
• Be the Quality gatekeeper to ensure a high quality of releases
• Adhere to best practices for testing and designing reusable code
• This is a role which is a 50%-50% split between creating automated front end UI end to end tests in C# and manual testing 

Who You Are:

• You have 8+ years of experience testing various .NET rich client applications using automated testing tools
• Ability to program fluently in C# and have created headless UI tests
• You are passionate about software testing and accelerating the pace of delivery

Desired Skills:

• In-depth understanding of .NET UI rich client testing techniques
• Hands-on experience testing systems or apps that have significant client-server communication
• Strong experience writing UI automation tests using Selenium WebDriver or similar
• Demonstrated programming skills in python/javascript is a plus
• Good knowledge of APIs test automation techniques
• Experience building mock and stub services to simulate server response
• Experience using BDD/TDD tools like Cucumber or similar
• CI / CD experience using Jenkins, Bamboo, or similar
• Experience writing test cases and test plans based on new feature requirements.
• Strong communication skills to effectively work with multiple development teams
• Experience with biometrics technologies is a plus
