Software Development Engineer in Test / SDET

The Role

Say is expanding its engineering team and looking for experienced engineers to work closely with our product and operations teams on our core product offerings. As a SDET at Say, you will be responsible to proactively validate the quality of all or our products to ensure that our clients are receiving a perfect end-user experience.

In this role you will report to Say’s Engineering Manager.

Qualifications

* 3+ years in quality engineering

* Experience in all aspects of testing (i.e. smoke, functional, integration, UAT)

* Self sufficient engineer that is able to tackle any QA tasks with minimal supervision

* Ability to take ownership of projects and ensure moving forward in the SDLC 

* Ability to create/build an automated testing framework (web applications)

* Significant contribution to the QA processes and automation design 

* Significant contribution to a metrics driven QA process

* Excellent communication to provide adequate and timely feedback across teams

* A proven track record of learning new technologies

* Recommend and educate the product, engineering and operations team on tools and technologies used for testing and quality control 

* Remain current on software testing best practices and industry trends.

* Monitor automated test systems to detect and root cause production code errors.

Nice to have

* Experience working in Python and JavaScript as part of a automated testing framework

* Experience working in an Agile environment

* Familiarity with Cypress

* Experience with integration testing in a Service Oriented Architecture
