The Role

​​Simon Data is seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our team. If you are a creative-minded person, enjoy open-ended problems, are not afraid to try new technologies and jump in to solve the problem at hand, keep reading to learn more! As a member of the software engineering team at Simon, you will have the opportunity to tackle interesting engineering projects and make a significant impact on the trajectory of a startup.  You will help develop and deploy the pipelines and platforms that make data meaningful.  Simon’s stack is full of modern technologies, and you’ll work on a wide variety of projects that will accelerate your growth as an engineer.

What You’ll Do

• Analyze and organize raw data
• Build data systems and pipelines
• Evaluate business needs and objectives
• Build algorithms and prototypes
• Combine raw information from different sources
• Explore ways to enhance data quality and reliability
• Collaborating closely with senior engineers to design and develop new product features

Qualifications

We are looking for those who are starting an engineering career and want a long-term role as a full-stack engineer at the company. Technical proficiency will largely be learned on the job, but we like to see the following from applicants:

• Comfortable with at least one programming language
• Moderate proficiency in SQL
• Detailed-oriented and able to work without heavy oversight
• Motivated self-starter
• Strong analytical skills and a love for all things data
• Python a plus but not expected
